Brent Rivera is an American YouTube and TikTok star best known for his role in the 2017 movie “Alexander IRL” and the TV show “Light as a Feather.” On TikTok and YouTube, Brent posts comedic clips and videos.
The actor, who lives in Huntington Beach, California, co-founded AMP Studios, which functions as a talent incubator and content group.
Brent Rivera, born Brent Austin Rivera, was born on January 9, 1998 in Huntington Beach, California. He has three siblings, a sister named Lexi and two brothers named Blake and Brice. He attended Huntington Beach High School growing up.
As of August 2021, Brent has 16.5 million YouTube subscribers, 21.8 million followers on Instagram, 2.1 million followers on Twitter and 30.8 million followers on TikTok.
Ever since Brent was just a young child, he wanted to be an actor. His career started at an early age. When he was 11 years old, he appeared in several TV commercials.
When he was in high school, Brent joined Vine and had a successful career on the platform, boasting more than two million followers on the video-sharing platform. He joined Vine in 2013 and several years later, in 2016, he was one of the most popular users on Vine with nearly 10 million followers.
Vine was shut down in 2016, and Brent focused his efforts on building his YouTube channel instead. He started his YouTube channel back in 2009, but for years did not actively work on building it up. Some of his most popular videos, “If we talked how we texted,” have received over 10 million views.
Brent joined TikTok when the platform gained popularity and has since garnered more than 40.5 million followers as of August 2021.
Brent has been involved in several projects off of social media as well. In 2014, the star toured the U.S. and performed in several major cities, including San Diego, Boston and Philadelphia, among others. The same year, Brent released his debut single entitled “Doubt Your Thoughts.”
In 2017, he starred in the YouTube original movie “Alexander IRL,” with fellow social media star Nathan Kress. The movie tells the story of a young teenager who throws a huge house party to win over his crush and his friends. The film marked his acting debut.
Since then, Brent has “Brobot” on Brat as the character Gil for five episodes in 2018. The same year, Brent played Isaac in Hulu’s “Light as a Feather.” The show has already crossed the two season mark with more episodes planned.
In 2019, Brent portrayed himself in “Brent Rivera’s Dream Vacation” on AwesomenessTV for several episodes.
Brent has been involved with several campaigns in addition to his acting work. In 2015, he starred in Coca Cola’s MakeItHappy campaign with fellow celebrities Ryan Seacrest, Victoria Justice and more. Shortly after, Brent teamed up with the popular clothing brand Hollister to help stop bullying. The campaign was called All Equal.
Brent has also supported Global Citizens Year and Million Meals for Love.
In 2019, Brent was nominated for Choice Male Web Star for the Teen Choice Awards and Best in Lifestyle at the Streamy Awards. He did not win either award.
Brent created AMP Studios in 2018 with business partner Max Levine that has a variety of services, including influencer marketing. The studio helps teach brands and influencers how to go viral on social media. Their influencers create a combined one billion views each month.
